TFL Podcast: Episode 3 — The Guy Was A Sap
#NoirNovember has arrived, and ain’t she a dame. Josh and Alex sit down in a crudely-lit corner to work their way through several neo-noirs and one old black and white classic. Can they solve the mystery of James Ellroy’s melting clay dog, tell the good girl from the femme fatale (hint: one of them is Robin Tunney), and keep you from slipping into the dark underworld of Chinatown’s 1990 sequel?
Spoilers:

Corrections:
Josh was right, Lawrence of Arabia was based on the life of T.E. Lawrence – duh. James Ellroy’s L.A. City of Demons is actually 6 episodes, so there’s even more insanity for you to enjoy. Alex is pretty sure Josh was thinking of the blue mermaid from Gumby, named Goo. Seriously. The cinematography for The Long Goodbye was actually done by Vilmos Zsigmond.
